Museum Pass FAQ's

  • How do I reserve a pass?
    You can use our online reservation system by clicking here or you may call us at 978-263-4680 to reserve your pass over the phone. With either method you will need your library card number.
  • Who can reserve a pass?
    Boxborough’s passes may be reserved by anyone with a valid card from any of the member libraries of the C/WMARS Library Network.
  • What do I need to bring to get the pass?
    You will need the library card that was used to make the reservation.
  • What happens if my plans change?
    If you reserve a pass and your plans change, please cancel your reservation or call us at 978-263-4680 to cancel, so the pass can be used by another patron.
  • When can I reserve a pass?
    Passes may be reserved up to 15 days in advance, with a limit of 1 pass per day. During school vacation weeks passes are limited to one per card during the week.
  • When can I pick up my passes?
    Passes may be picked up after 12 p.m. the day before use or anytime on the day of use. Weekend passes may be picked up after 12 p.m. on the Thursday before use. The library is not open Fridays.
  • When and how do I return my pass?
    If you pass is a disposable paper pass, you do not need to return it. For any other passes, they must be returned before 10 a.m. the day after use. Passes returned after hours may be placed in the book drop.
  • What if I am late? What if I lose the pass?
    The fine for late return is $1.00 per pass per day. If the pass is lost, there is a replacement charge of $25.00 per pass.
  • Be sure check the library's web site for library hours and holiday closings for picking up your pass . When reserving a pass, be sure to check the museum's web site for their current hours of operation.
